A Note from Dr. Stewart

My passion for treating patients with sleep related breathing disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea and snoring continues to grow as I see the positive results we are making in our patient's lives. We have seen how treatment improves quality of life in our patients and we know that it can potentially increase the quantity of life as well. Our office offers a broad range of solutions for these disorders, from selecting the proper oral appliance to a customized combination therapy with CPAP for severe cases. We are dedicated to making the latest treatments available to our patients.

We work closely with sleep physicians to both properly diagnose our patients and to continually monitor their treatment to obtain and maintain successful results. We also network with other dentists around the country who also focus on this care as well as attending the latest in continuing education in dental sleep medicine.

Dr. Stewart's Story

After graduating from University of Michigan with a BS in microbiology, James Stewart was awarded his Doctorate of Dental Science from U of M's Dental School. He finished his residency in general dentistry at Sinai Hospital of Detroit.

An avid learner, Dr. Stewart continually expands his knowledge of dentistry by attending several continuing education courses each year. He has also invested time in studying patients at a sleep lab alongside experienced technicians. Dr. Stewart is among one of only a few Michigan dentists who have received training in combination therapy for sleep apnea treatment.

He is a member of both the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. In his Livonia dental office, Dr. Stewart offers sleep apnea and snoring treatment with oral appliance therapy. This non-invasive treatment option helps people overcome sleep apnea and snoring so that they can enjoy restful nights and alert, focused days.
